1,3-Dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborol-5-amine is a boron compound that can potentially be used for treatment of periodontal disease such as infection involving bacteria, viruses, fungi and/or parasites. 1,3-Dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborol-5-amine may also be used as an anti-inflammatory agent.
